Reinhard von Hennigs is the German Honorary Consul in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Chairman and Founder of BridgehouseLaw LLP, an international business law firm with offices in five countries on three continents. For nearly three decades, he has advised companies, entrepreneurs, and investors on complex cross-border transactions, foreign direct investment (FDI), international corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracting, corporate governance, and strategic U.S. market entry. His practice focuses on helping European and Latin American companies establish and expand operations in the United States while assisting U.S. businesses pursuing opportunities abroad.
Born and educated in Germany, von Hennigs studied law at the University of Heidelberg and the University of Bonn (J.D. equivalent) before earning his LL.M. from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Germany and North Carolina, is licensed as a Foreign Law Consultant in Georgia, and is admitted before the Supreme Court of the United States and the United States Court of International Trade. Having practiced in both Germany and the United States, he brings an international perspective to the legal, cultural, and commercial challenges facing multinational organizations.
He established the firm's current international platform and guided its growth into an international business law firm with seven offices in five countries on three continents, serving clients throughout North America, Europe, and Latin America. Under his leadership, BridgehouseLaw was recognized on the Inc. 5000 list of America's fastest-growing private companies. He also serves as Chairman of BridgeAlliance, a global network of independent law firms and business advisors that provides coordinated cross-border legal and business services.
In addition to his legal practice, von Hennigs has held numerous professional, civic, and international leadership positions. He currently serves on the Global Product Portfolio for the Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO), following previous leadership roles as President of the EO Charlotte Chapter and Area Director for EO's U.S. East Region. He is also a founder of the German American Business Association and has served as Chairman of the Charlotte International Cabinet, President of the German Business Roundtable, and as a founding board member of the Charlotte International Arbitration Society.
